I must admit, when I first bought the game James Bond: Agent Under Fire, I was a little surprised. It seems that my Wild Katz third party controller didn't work with the game. So I used my original Gamecube controller and it worked fine.
The controls I thought at the beginning were a bit difficult to use, but I started to like them after a little while. There are basically two types of gameplay on Agent Under Fire: single player and multiplayer. Let me tell you about single player. After I had gotten used to the controls, I enjoyed the game very much. Instead of just a random shoot-em-up, Agent Under Fire follows more of a story, which I like. It requires more finesse and skill and thinking in some places. And even if your having trouble, it usually helps you out. One thing is though, if you are very good at videogames, you might find this game too easy. Basically the whole game is somewhat easy, except for a few parts (especially the end), which I found pretty hard. It tends to help you out a bit too much in some areas, but I didn't find it annoying or anything.
Although there are only 12 missions to do, I found the longevity of the single player missions were somewhat good because of the "gold rewards" and "multiplayer bonuses." The Gold Rewards are rewards you get for doing a mission really welland you can use them during single player missions. You can get things such as the Golden Gun, unlimited ammo, golden accuracy, and so on. And the multiplayer bonuses give you things that you can use during multiplayer games. You can get gravity boots, a viper (a revolver), a full arsenal, and a host of other things. Which brings me to my next point.
While single player missions are fun, multiplayer games are even more fun. You only need one human player and then you can play against bots. However it is more fun with more than one person. I'm not going to give away all the secrets of the game, because thats for you to find out. But I assure you, they are all quite fun. The graphics in this game are spectacular, especially the cut scenes. There's not much more to say about them. The sound in this game is pretty good, except you grow tired of the infectious laughing of Bloch, and the calls of his stupid men. I, however, find the background music great. All in all, this game is good overall, except for some the controls will take some getting used to. And remember, some third party controllers won't work with this game!
