Is ISS 2 up there with Pro Evolution Soccer or is way down with Fifa World Cup 2002?

In ISS 2 there are 64 teams to choose from but apart from that I dont have a clue why Komani (the makers of the game) didnt just bring out Pro Evolution Soccer instead of ISS 2 because I think that ISS 2 was a step in the wrong direction, but not a big step because the game is still good. Once you start a match you will wonder if your control is broken because when you are running and change direction, the players stop. After a while, though, you will get use to this and you dont really notice it.

Your team mates are so thick as well because they just watch the ball go straight past his legs. Shooting at goal is hard too because the ball rarely goes along the ground and 90 per cent of the time will go miles over the bar. When you are taking set pieces it is hard to see where the ball is going to end up because there is no arrow to show where the ball is going and it is very hard to bend the ball it is also hard to slide tackle and not get booked.

Enough bad stuff for now because there are some good parts, like edit player or team (but there are not enough options in create player), Custom League, Friendly Match, Training, World League, Edit and Options, but that is about it. I know that is quite a lot for a footy sim but all this is average and dont do the game justice.

Graphics: 7/10: The players may not be as good looking as those on Fifa World Cup 2002, and in all honesty they any less than average. There are a fair few graphical errors too, but nothing too big.

Gameplay: 8/10: There is a lot to keep you quiet for about one weeks, after that you will play it mainly as a Multi player-game.

Sound: 8/10: The back ground music is catchy, even no I have forgotten it, the crowd sounds just about right but the commentary is like all others, so you will want to turn it off.

Longevity: 6/10: The poor controls make you board very quickly and the lack of effort in the game make you wonder why you spent £40 on this game.

Overall Rating: 71%

Stay clear of ISS 2 and wait for a better Football sim. I have good news because a little bird told me that Pro Evolution Soccer is walking down GameCubes street!
